The FTCE Marketing 6-12 Exam comprises approximately 120 multiple-choice questions across 15 core competencies. The question formats include direct questions, sentence completion, charts and graphs, commands, word problems, and scenarios.
Each competency, or area of knowledge, contains between three and 12 skill areas. Content specialists have determined that these competencies and skill areas are important for beginning marketing teachers.
The FTCE Marketing 6-12 Exam requires you to demonstrate your knowledge of the following: (1) marketing careers and employability; (2) human relations; (3) communications; (4) marketing mathematics; (5) economic principles; (6) marketing principles; (7) selling; (8) business operations; (9) sales promotion; (10) product and service technology; (11) leadership and management; (12) work-based experiences; (13) program operation; (14) entrepreneurship; and (15) financial literacy.
