The core competency areas encompass the following:

  • Knowledge of English words derived from Latin vocabulary
  • Latin vocabulary in a given context

You will have to identify basic literary devices in Latin prose or poetry, as well as meter in Latin poetry.

You will receive a test booklet and a separate answer sheet. The FTCE Latin K-12 Exam includes approximately 100 multiple-choice questions in the following formats: direct questions, sentence completion, and commands. Each question has four possible response options (A, B, C, or D). Bubble in your response to each question using the provided answer sheet.
