Each of the above competencies on the FTCE Family and Consumer Science 6-12 Exam is assigned a percentage for scoring purposes. This percentage represents the approximate proportion of competency-specific items compared to the overall total number of test items.

The FTCE Family and Consumer Science 6-12 Exam comprises approximately 120 multiple-choice questions. The format of this subject examination includes the following question types: direct questions, commands, sentence completion, and scenarios. Each question will have four possible response options (A, B, C, or D). You will receive a test booklet and a separate answer sheet, on which to bubble in your responses to the questions.
